Interhouse Swimming sports

The annual interhouse swimming sports were held on Friday February 24th in beautiful sunny conditions.

Competition was fierce with Gellion coming out victorious on the day over McMillan 2nd, Livingston 3rd and Whitney 4th.

Beacon Foundation

Georgie Reed, Jessica Fyffe, Lauren wight, Jade Roberts, Wyatt Kilgower and Patrick Petterson  have been chosen to be Beacon Ambassadors for Yarram Secondary College. The students will work alongside Garry Stephens in a project called Connect 10. The project aims to inspire and motivate year 10 students to either stay in school and increase their educational engagement and attainment, or choose a positive pathway that enables successful transition to employment, further education or training. Business people in Yarram and District attended a breakfast last Friday where they heard about the program and were asked to sign up to help the program and the school. everyone was impress with the ambassadors and the presentation of the day. The students are helped along the way with Mr Mitchell, Mrs Darvill and Mrs O'Bree.
